DNS setup for custom domains
A custom domain for your landing pages needs two DNS records: a CNAME record that points your subdomain to Gabriel, and a TXT record that proves you own it. Gabriel shows both on Settings > Domains when you add the domain. See Domains for the whole process.
The examples below use go.yourcompany.com. Use the Name / host and Value Gabriel shows for your domain, and copy the TXT value exactly: it is different for every domain.
| Type | Name / host | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | go | pages-dns.gabrielcrm.com |
| TXT | _gabriel-verify.go | gabriel-verify=… (copy it from Gabriel) |

Other DNS providers
Section titled “Other DNS providers”Every provider has the same two record types. Look for DNS, DNS records or Zone editor in your provider’s settings and add:
- a CNAME record whose name is your subdomain and whose value is pages-dns.gabrielcrm.com;
- a TXT record whose name is _gabriel-verify followed by a dot and your subdomain, with the value from Gabriel.
Most providers want the name without your domain on the end (go, not go.yourcompany.com). If yours asks for the full name, enter go.yourcompany.com and _gabriel-verify.go.yourcompany.com.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Copy the values with the copy buttons in Gabriel. A single wrong character in the TXT value keeps the domain on Pending DNS.
- Remove any other record with the same name first. A subdomain can’t have a CNAME record and another record, such as an A record, at the same time.
- Keep both records for as long as you use the domain. Gabriel re-checks them every 6 hours, and removing one can take the domain offline.
- Ask your IT provider to add the records if someone else manages your DNS. Send them the table from Settings > Domains.
